Vestibular Rehabilitation is a specific physical therapy approach aimed at decreasing dizziness and imbalance in patients who have vestibular dysfunction. The vestibular system is that area of the inner ear that, when working with the eyes, ears, and muscles, provides balance information for the brain to interpret. Each patient is evaluated and receives an individualized treatment program with the following objectives:

• Decrease or eliminate patient’s feelings of vertigo/dizziness
• Improve balance and postural control
• Improve gaze stability
• Improve overall endurance
• Return to prior lifestyle
