The Newsome Physical Therapy Network is pleased to host “Mobilization of the Cervical and Thoracic Spine and Ribs” on Friday, November 7th and Saturday, November, 8th. John Duncombe, MPT, CIMT, CSCS, GCS of Great Lakes Seminars will be the instructor. John received his Master’s of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and most recently completed his training as a Certified Integrated Manual Therapist. Along the way he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as Golf Conditioning Specialist. He has provided therapy for high school, college, and professional athletes, always striving to improve functioning of the entire body. John currently works as a physical therapist in a suburb outside Chicago, IL.

Many of you are familiar with Great Lakes Seminars and the integrative manual therapy techniques developed by Patrick Hoban. There are now 7 seminars that lead to becoming a Certified Integrated Manual Therapist (CIMT). For those of you who are interested, the CIMT Track consists of:

  • Mobilization of the Cervical & Thoracic Spine & Ribs
  • Treatment of the Lumbar Complex
  • The Basics of Sacroiliac Mobilization
  • Comprehensive Treatment of the Shoulder
  • Comprehensive Treatment of the Knee
  • Comprehensive Treatment of the Foot and Ankle
  • Treatment of Common Extremity Dysfunction Through Mobilization
  • Synthesis Course/Certification Course

The seminar will be held at the Newsome Crest Hill center. Course space is limited to 21 participants and therefore will be filled on a first come first serve basis. At this time, the seminar is only open to PTs and PTAs. Be sure to contact Marsha at 815-436-1444 to reserve your spot ASAP.
